For the Exantus family, graduation day at Palm Beach State College was more than a personal achievement—it was a shared milestone three sisters experienced side by side.

Iveline and Irvine Exantus, identical twins, graduated alongside their older sister Lynn, each earning an Associate in Arts degree this spring. The sisters graduated from Cardinal Newman High School in West Palm Beach and decided to attend Palm Beach State together.

“We wanted to stay close to family and save on tuition,” Irvine explained, a decision that ultimately shaped a meaningful and memorable college experience.

The sisters also found support through PBSC’s TRIO Student Support Services program, which played a key role in helping them stay on track and reach graduation.

Through the program, they discovered additional opportunities to enhance their academic journey—including a certificate in entrepreneurship that Iveline and Irvine will complete this summer.

Along the way, they even shared two classes together, adding to what already felt like a family-centered college experience.

“It was amazing to go to college with my sisters,” Irvine said. “High school was strict and we didn’t make very many friends, so when we arrived at PBSC it was a very freeing experience. To discover everything PBSC had to offer alongside your siblings made it all the more special.”

Iveline and Irvine plan to attend Florida Atlantic University this fall, where they will major in business administration. Lynn will continue at Palm Beach State to pursue a degree in nursing.

The Exantus family’s presence at PBSC though isn’t ending. Their younger brother, Angelo, is set to enroll this fall.

Already, the sisters have offered him advice for success: join programs like TRIO, get involved in campus clubs and take the time to build relationships with professors.

Together, the three sisters’ journey reflects not only academic success, but the power of support, shared experiences and staying connected to home.
