Palm Beach State College marked the 25th anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks with remembrance events at its Boca Raton, Lake Worth and Belle Glade campuses. Students, faculty and staff honored the nearly 3,000 people killed, recognized the courage and ongoing sacrifices of first responders, and reflected on how the day continues to shape a new generation.
Palm Beach State College is helping shape a national skilled trades initiative through the Lowe’s Foundation’s new coalition with associate dean Eligio Marquez serving as a founding member.
PBSC celebrated 17 graduates of Correctional Officer Training Class No. 184 as they completed the academy and prepared to pursue careers in corrections and public service.
Philanthropist Stephen M. Ross, founder and chairman of Related Companies, will receive a Lifetime Achievement Award at Palm Beach State College’s 2026 Emerald Torch Awards Gala at 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, at Eau Palm Beach Resort & Spa in Manalapan.
