the award during a ceremony held on April 13 and attended by representatives from
both organizations at the Bank of America Esperante branch in West Palm Beach.
The recognition honors Bank of America’s commitment to advancing education, workforce development and
community engagement, as well as its impact on preparing students for future careers.
“Strong partnerships open doors for students and advance Palm Beach State College’s
commitment to student success,” said PBSC President Ava L. Parker, J.D. “By collaborating
with employers and industry leaders, we ensure students gain the hands-on skills,
real-world experience and professional mentorship needed to achieve their educational
and career goals.”
Palm Beach State College has maintained a partnership with Bank of America for several
years, with the bank serving as an active member of PBSC partnership councils and
sustaining a long-standing relationship with the College’s Foundation through scholarships,
workforce grants and event sponsorships. The bank also supports student entrepreneurs
by providing small-business lending resources and offers generous tuition reimbursement
and upskilling opportunities for employees to attend PBSC. Bank of America has hired
several PBSC graduates since the partnership began, including Frank LaCosta, senior
vice president of global commercial banking.
“Palm Beach State College opened doors for me and played a meaningful role in shaping
my career, which is why partnerships like this matter so much. By working together,
we’re creating real opportunities for students to gain experience and step into the
workforce prepared to succeed,” LaCosta said.

County’s top companies dedicated to student success and advancing workforce innovation and
