Palm Beach State College welcomed its largest incoming class of international students
to date—61 new Panthers—during the Fall ’25 International Student Welcome Reception
and Orientation on Friday, Oct. 31, in PSD 108 on the Lake Worth campus.
The event, hosted by the Office of International Admissions, marked a historic milestone
for the College and set the stage for a vibrant, inclusive semester ahead.
The new Panthers join 158 returning international students, collectively representing
over 56 countries from around the world.

A highlight of the event was a heartfelt story shared by Dr. Destiny Keen, associate
dean of Readiness and Retention, who reflected on her own journey as a former international
student at PBSC. Her words deeply resonated with attendees, many of whom are experiencing
their first semester in the United States. Her message made students feel seen, supported,
and motivated to pursue their goals with confidence.
College leaders including Dr. Kathleen Karran-McCoy, associate vice president of Enrollment
Management; Ronnie Malave, dean of student services; Rowina Petion, director of Student
Development; and Director of Student Well-Being Robin Russo also welcomed the students.
They introduced a wide range of support services available across the College and
shared valuable tips to help students thrive both academically and personally.
