The event, which is in lieu of a traditional commencement ceremony, will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Duncan Theatre on the Lake Worth campus. Graduates donning caps and gowns will arrive in groups of 75 during 15-minute prearranged time slots to hear their names called, walk across the stage, be greeted by President Ava L. Parker, J.D. and be photographed. This format will provide a flexible, intimate celebration that honors each graduate’s achievement.

“Grad Walk is more than a milestone, it’s a celebration of perseverance, growth, and limitless potential,” said Dr. Peter Barbatis, vice president of student services and enrollment management. “I could not be prouder of those who have transformed challenges into triumphs and dreams into reality.  This achievement is not an ending, but the beginning of good things that lie ahead.”

Outside of the Duncan Theatre, students can enjoy a DJ, refreshments at Panther Plaza, and photo backdrops. Additionally, the Grad Walk will be livestreamed on the Cube.

Among the fall graduates, more than 1,500 are completing the Associate in Arts transfer degree, over 260 are earning A.S. degrees and 128 are earning bachelor’s degrees, including the first Bachelor of Science in Medical Imaging degrees since launching the program in fall 2024. Other highlights for the fall graduates are:

  • 75 veterans, active military and National Guard members are graduating
  • 76 associate degrees and 35 bachelor's degrees are being awarded to nursing students
  • 75 countries and territories are represented among the graduates
