PBSC athletics names Ron Philo, Jr. as the new head men’s golf coach
Palm Beach State College athletics has named Ron Philo, Jr., the new men’s head golf coach.
Philo is an accomplished PGA professional working in the game. He brings to Palm Beach State a wealth of knowledge and experience.
He was the 2006 PGA Professional National Champion and has won numerous titles throughout his career including being named a five-time PGA Section Champion, five-time PGA Section Player of the Year, a PGA Section Teacher of the Year, PGA Section Merchandiser of the Year, and a PGA Chapter Patriot Award winner.
He has also been recognized by Golf Digest and Golf Magazine for his work as an instructor.
Philo shares his passion for golf with his family. His grandfather, father, uncle, sister, cousin as well as his spouse Susan Bond-Philo, who is PBSC’s women’s head golf coach, are all professionals in the field.
“This history and connection to the game provides him with an expansive network from which he can draw to bring talent to our new Men’s Golf Program which will begin in the fall of 2025,” said PBSC Athletics Director John Scarpino.
