Palm Beach State College student Robert Hruska, who is studying to become an Automotive Service Technician, was awarded a $5,000 scholarship from the TechForce Foundation, an organization dedicated to advancing the automotive industry’s workforce.

The scholarship will help cover his tuition, fees and books. Before being awarded, Hruska submitted an application where he outlined his strong commitment to pursuing excellence in automotive technology.

“Robert was attracted to the automotive program due to his admiration for rally racing,” said instructor Greg Paczkowski. “Although he has no prior mechanical background, he has excelled rapidly in the program and has a bright future.”

TechForce supports technicians with scholarships, training, VIP tickets to events, and jobs to thrive in their careers.  For more information, visit www.techforce.org. For more information on PBSC’s Automotive Service Technology Program, click here.
