Waldon selected by ACUE to be a faculty expert in Artificial Intelligence Quick Study series
Dr. Kalisha Waldon, professor of education and student life skills at Palm Beach State College, was selected by the Association of College and University Educators to be a faculty expert in their Artificial Intelligence Quick Study Series.
As an expert, Waldon contributed her knowledge and expertise to the courses and resources that were designed for the series which feature one-hour, self-paced, interactive learning experiences where participants can earn badges.
She was nominated by Vice President of Academic Innovation and Strategy Dr. Roger Yohe and Faculty Development Manager Rob Erwin to be interviewed by ACUE because of the experience she gained at PBSC as a participant in the AI Across the Curriculum collaborative initiative between PBSC and the University of Florida and her completion of ACUE’s Effective Teaching Practice Framework credential.
She was then selected by ACUE to be filmed for the AI Quick Start Series at Berkeley College in New Jersey.
The AI Across the Curriculum initiative allowed her and other faculty members to learn AI fundamentals, AI ethics, and how to incorporate AI strategically into existing courses last year at PBSC’s Palm Beach Gardens campus.
“We are honored to have Dr. Waldon represent Palm Beach State and to join others across the country in educating faculty on AI,” said Yohe.
