PBSC communications team wins 12 Awards of Excellence from the Association of Florida Colleges

PBSC’s Office of Communications and Public Affairs team won 12 Awards of Excellence from the Association of Florida Colleges’ Communications and Marketing Commission.

“This recognition by the Association of Florida Colleges is a true testament to our team’s talents, creativity and hard work in advancing PBSC’s mission,” said Angela Harrington, OCPA Chief Communications and Public Affairs Officer. “I am incredibly proud of our team and grateful to the AFC Communications and Marketing Commission for providing a platform to celebrate the achievements of communications professionals who spread awareness of all that is great about the Great 28.”

The Association of Florida Colleges’ Communications and Marketing Commission provides communication and marketing professionals at Florida’s colleges with networking opportunities through meetings and professional development. The Awards of Excellence includes all 28 Florida colleges who compete in categories such as print design, web design, marketing, public relations, commercials and photography.

The OCPA team earned five gold awards, four silver awards, and three bronze awards for their work in areas such as digital advertising, video campaigns and social media. The team members who received awards are Kara Bailey, Cara Masset, Kari McCormick, Karina Santisteban, Caroline Sheikhnia, Julie Somera, Ricardo Reyes and Carol McDonald.

“I couldn’t be prouder of our team and what we’ve accomplished,” said Caroline Sheikhnia, OCPA Digital Media Manager and gold award recipient. “It’s an honor to contribute to PBSC’s success by helping share its story through social media.”
