Serpico shares Face Off experience with cosmetology students

Emily Serpico, Palm Beach State Cosmetology program graduate, visited her old stomping grounds Wednesday, a day after she appeared on the Season 8 finale of “Face Off” as one of three finalists in the competition/elimination TV series that chooses Hollywood’s next great special effects artist.

Serpico, who turned 19 during the show’s taping, is the youngest contestant in the history of this Syfy cable network hit series, making her achievement especially noteworthy. She came close to winning, besting 12 other artists for a place in the finale after 13 weeks of competition. Each week contestants were challenged to create characters for sci-fi, fantasy, horror and other extreme film genres. The Season 8 winner was Darla Edin; Serpico and Logan Long were finalists with no further rank assigned.
