Palm Beach State College associate professor and Chair of the Fire Science Department Sean Parr recently presented new research at the Transportation Research Board’s (TRB) 105th Annual Meeting, held Jan. 11–15, 2026, in Washington, D.C.
Stacy Plean, a broker associate with LoKation Real Estate and the founder of The HomeSeeker Group, has been appointed by Gov. Ron DeSantis to serve on the Palm Beach State College District Board of Trustees. She will attend her first District Board of Trustees meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2026. Plean’s appointment is subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
In high school, Tyler Kollinger’s ambitions extended about as far as the next video game level. College was an obligation, not an opportunity. He went through orientation at Palm Beach State College in 2014, took one look at the path ahead and decided it wasn’t for him.
